It's a New Year and...well, who knows what 2026 will bring us?

One thing is for certain, 2025 was a mixed bag for me. I resolved much of my work situation and have been working one full job instead of two smaller ones. I have more money and more free time now...but even with that, I still think I could be doing better on the work front. We'll see what happens though.

And my Twitch work (twitch.tv/tigercat919) is chugging along, I'm feeling more comfortable talking and have been more creative in what I want to stream. But I only want to do it when I feel happy or ready, not because I HAVE to. I'm hoping my natural and free-wheeling style leads me to affiliate status someday.

But even then, I didn't really get to travel as much as I usually do in 2025, and I ran into a little more unplanned expenses than I had anticipated. I've also spent a good deal of time adjusting to some medication changes, although they should be easier to handle as the year progresses.

My family members have been in good health as well (my parents actually celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary last year), but I do worry about them on occasion. They're taking great care of themselves, but I just worry at times about what will happen to them in the future.

Things are looking positive, but I think I can still do better. We'll see what goes on. Here's hoping your 2026 ends up being a good one too!

p.s. 2026 does kind of sound like a futuristic year, doesn't it? Although 2031, 2035, and especially 2049 all sound futuristic too. There's something about 2027 and 2028 that doesn't scream "sci-fi world" to me.
