There's a "say no to free art" campaign making the rounds, and I just wanted to add to it by reminding them all that most of them are hypocrites.

If you can provide me with receipts proving you own every single piece of content on your computer, every music file, all the software, every movie or television show you watch on the computer, those furry pics and zines you have downloaded, that porno movie you masturbate too frequently (yes people charge for the porn they produce), then you might be spared this rant.

Otherwise, if you demand that people pay for your shit, you're a hypocrite. Plain and simple. You can't expect everyone to pay for everything they come across. THAT is how the real world works. You "starving artists" need to grow the fuck up, just because your "talent" is rare doesn't give you the right to charge out the ass for a single piece of work.

You know what else is rare in this day and age? Polite people who don't have their heads up their ass, ever. What if they started charging for being polite? What if the police gave you a bill before they started their search for that person who mugged you on the subway? What if a fireman demanded payment before he put out your house?

Grow up, greed is just as sickening as people expecting everything to be free.
