So, this fall marks 25 years of this silly thing I do.

Yeah 25 years.

Some of you weren't born yet.

I started really writing on this in January 1999 and the first story was completed in the fall. There was some sporatic work in 98 but, nothing completed.
The world was way different then, I was different other. Than wanting to roll my tale of furries in star trek. Voyager was going DS9;was already done or in reruns, tng was over and had some movies and Enterprise was on the horizon. I had a snes, nes, Gameboy and PC for gaming. A 91' Buick Skylark for wheels and eating up toonami and what ever live action shows didn't suck back then. I was getting ready to go to college with no clue what the fuck I was doing, I was more interested in boose and women then pursuing my education, without having my parents looking over my shoulder all the time and getting out on my own. That summer my mom dad and sister took a vacation without me so I could work to pay for school. They left me money for food, like a idiot I spent it all on mtg cards, and survived eating vegetables out of our garden for two weeks. I was young and stupid, I won't deny it.
Meanwhile I kept working on episode 1. It was so slow back then, I had to translate from a steno pad to this draconic word processor called first choice print. The. Get it on my dad's PC and use word pad to extract the text and remove the first choice garbage and, Jesus it sucked. So many hours sweating trying to save my story and not retype it again trying to read my chicken scratches. Doing drawings, sketches what ever I could so I had a solid image continuity in my head. It was slow and tedious because no one taught me how to write fiction or edit it. All I had was my English classes from school, experiences writing reports and sheer determination.
It wasn't that I hadn't had some fan fic experience, my sonic fics had been out since 95' but FotR was different and I was trying to make it that way.
Now here I am, the work had got.... Big. Just broke 50 stories and more in the way. I'll try to do something to celebrate if I can work it in. I've been so damn busy I nearly missed it.
