My name is Valravn. I so far am only one of two valravn suiters in the fandom. (Aurin suit more! :D) We are walking mascots for lesbian furs! Valravns have been used as a lesbian symbol in the furry community since the 1980s. I'm happy to be able to carry on this tradition for the fandom. I'm currently working on a 2.0 for my fursuit so stay tuned.
Why did I create this fursuit?
I wanted to create a suit that was tied in close to the spiritual aspects of my identity. I am Pennsylvania Dutch (Northern German having migrated to the USA and lead Amish like lives) and Mohawk. Both my Germanic and Kanien'kehá:ka ancestors both highly respected wolves and ravens and you can find important lore on both animals in both cultures. As I am two things, I felt that my fursona and fursuit should be two as well. You'll notice in my new fursuit head build, that i am using real leather... fur and feathers. This is part of the Mohawk/iroquois mask building culture.
This means that wearing my fursuit is a religious experience for me. When I am in my suit, I am a valravn.
