I turned 30! (G)
I turned 30 this year, and here's my advice.
Emotional insecurity is destroying a lot of young men right now. Straight up, lil homies you have to learn to cry, open up, and learn from your mistakes. Nobody survives their late teens or 20s acting like an edgelord. That tough guy act? Oh buddy it gets old real fast, and the only person you're hurting is yourself.
I get it. As young boys were taught that showing feelings makes you look weak. But holding everything in? That's what actually breaks you down. You end up angry, isolated, and wondering why no one really knows you. Real strength is being honest about your pain, depression, and anexity. Asking for help when you need it, and letting people in.
True compassion and love will heal you way more than fighting with your anger. Anger feels powerful for a minute, but it burns out and burns everything around you. Let yourself be soft sometimes. Let yourself care. Let yourself fail and get back up without pretending it didn't hurt.
Learn to feel and be confident. They're not opposites. In fact, the more you understand your own emotions, the more unshakable you become.
I believe in you!
BREATH. . . you got this!
