I've been in the mood to draw hybrids lately and Life of Pi has utterly infiltrated my brain so a couple of new characters popped up into my head as a result.
This is Aruna, his deer half is based on a chital. These are very, very rough concepts so I couldn't be assed to properly render the checked pattern on his lungi/sarong. I just wanted to try to figure out how the eff to put clothing on a centaur body. :'D
Aruna is best friends with a tiger lady who does not want to eat him because this is modern society and people tend to be above such things now. They bonded over their mutual love of Bollywood and dance~

Fair enough! I doubt if it’s still showing in cinemas over here, if not I’ll have to try and rent it.
Tell you what, and sorry that this is a bit off topic, but if you haven’t seen it already, I recommend The Fountain VERY highly. Even just the music, Death is the Road to Awe… amazing film.

Sorry for my disappearance, I have no excuse other than “It’s been one of those days…for 6 days.” -_- I looked up a trailer for Cloud Atlas and bloody hell, it looks brilliant! I’m struggling to believe they actually fit so much in to one film… Oddly enough, it reminds me of The Fountain, what with the past, present and future timelines. I like things which meddle with time like that.
