It’s a mostly traditionally done ostrich egg. The one major difference is that the egg was dyed pink first and the basic layout done in pink. Unwaxed areas were stripped back to white with simple green cleaner and the rest of the design was done as it would be normally done. I discovered the simple green slightly etches the surface of the egg so I stripped the color back to white between waxings to give the designs a slightly three dimensional quality. The final background color ended up being purple.

I consider this to be my masterwork. I love to look at it, and it is pleasant to touch. This will be the last one until We’re done cleaning and I get permission to tear apart the storage area. ^^ Buried somewhere in there are the rest of the exotic eggs. It shouldn’t take more than a couple months. I also have to devote my full waking hours to getting a job min $300/mo. Nothing too impossible right?
