Made my first Yarn Tail yesterday. The strand lengths are about 9 inches, and the core is only a half an inch braid. I think it bulked up nicely! All I did was tie 4 strands at a time woven in between the braids. I figured sewing would take WAY too long.

I love the way it moves!

I wanted it to be more shaggy than smooth since the fake fur I have has this same texture.
