wow, that's a spiffy tutorial, thanks alot. :) Shame my hand is too unsteady for brush work unless it's abstract where lines don't matter.

Actually I was curious, if you wanted to ink a drawing you would sell in the art show and wanted to have it on a high quality canvas type paper, how would you print onto it with a laser/inkjet printer? Perhaps use a lightbox to copy through the lines and do it that way?

I'd do the lightbox method myself. Laser prints will always be identifiable for the lines.

Some canvas papers are specifically designed for inkjet/laserjet printers. You could try that.

PDF? That's a good idea. I can send you a higher res version that is 5000 pixels tall if you want to do that. FA pukes out at 1280 so I had to breakt it up.

Haven't heard of that other site. As far as I'm concerned, art techniques should be shared by all.

Only question is what kind of paper is best? I would guess normal 20lb photocopy paper would suck, but stuff like watercolor paper is textured to heck. What did you use?

I use index card stock for all my work that isn't in a sketchbook. It's affordable at about $10 for a ream of 250 sheets.

thanks for the tutorial. I usually shade with pencil, but this sounds like it will come in handy when i want a smoother look.
