Banana Buckwheat Honey + Cranberry Blueberry Honey Bread
Kudos again to
faydyn for inspiring this latest bread creation.
I made two separate doughs, one with Bananas and the very dark purple and aromatic Buckwheat Honey, and the other with rehydrated Cranberries and Blueberry Honey.
After leavening, I divided the doughs into three equal sized pieces, rolled into lengths and then took one of each dough and twisted them together. I took each dough twist and coiled them to rise again, and then wedged them all onto my tiny baking sheet, where they merged as you can see.
Again for both doughs, I used Coconut "milk" instead of cow's milk, and margarine instead of butter, because I do not eat dairy.
I have a cold kitchen, apparently, because I had to warm my oven to 200F to push the dough to rise, and then again after the twisting, because the yeast had a rough night playing video games and didn't get much sleep.
The experimentation won't stop here.. I envision garlic bread with rosemary and oregano; ginger bread; apricots and almonds; the list goes on.. this is such a simple and easy bread recipe, I love it.
