This has to be my least favorite poem, but i'll let ya'll decide.
Mentality
People call me crazy, they think that I’m insane
It’s all from your perspective, your choice to call me a bane
You choose to put me down, and treat me as inferior
I’m only mad by your standards, of my thoughts you can’t be sure
You still treat me bad, my pain you can’t see
You don’t know the feeling of you persecuting me
Because of my mind over which I’ve no control
I’m falling, falling, falling, into a deep hole
Why don’t you understand, I suppose you’re not to blame
For cutting down my person, for putting me to shame
Calling me names doesn’t help at all
Basket case, loony bin, for those was no call
You can’t understand my troubled mind
But why can’t you, for once, be kind
You say you’re worried about the fatalities
But that’s just a cover, you don’t understand
My strange mentality.
