This is one I wrote a while back, when I was still inexperienced with poetry, so I understand if you don't like it.


Infinity


Never ending, where’s the beginning
Do you honestly know?
For I’d like to find out, my life is thinning
Young I am, though.

What is it, can you really tell me
And actually be true?
Do you know what it is, infinity
I want that knowledge if you do.

Infinity, is it a number
I wonder quite a bit.
If I knew, I wouldn’t be dumber
And I would be greater in wit.

So please tell me something
And help me out
To keep me from jumping
And floundering about.

What is infinity
Is it here
No, it’s gone, away from me
Gone away from near.
