New Chief Choker made with a small orthoceras, an extinct cephalopod with a straight shell related to the nautilus. It is also decorated with a set of coyote canines and a pair of buffalo teeth. It is strung on leather cord with several other large bone beads, some painted with india ink, and some glass beads. Metal closures.

You always have rather neat jewelry Yoik. I love the touch of the bison teeth. How would such a piece hold up to every day wear? Say, a daily shower? I've been looking for something a bit more feminine to wear every day that I don't have to worry about wear and tear. (I wouldn't be rough with it of course) but my bear skull necklace is a little lacking in femininity lol.

The only thing I'd say hinders these is the leather cord (showering with it on can make it have a... weird smell :P)
I did make a chunky one like this for OshiiRyuu and I THINK she says she wears it everyday, with no problems.
So far I've only had one instance were something I sent out needed repair, and that was kinda a freak accident. (And I resolved it quickly)
I DO have waxed cord, and synthetic cord too, so I could always use a different cord on necklaces.

I'll look into getting different chains/cords that could handle the water. (I swim too, especially with summer coming up) I wish chain mail could be woven fine enough. I've got the finest available right now I think, and its still too bulky for my needs OTL

LOL I wouldn't mind having a cub skull for my collection, but would feel very guilty owning such a youngster, too. So young at death :(
