Finally arriving at her apartment Bella is finally forced to confront the fact that she's never actually taken care of a baby before. Fortunately, her charge has some experience in this matter, if only from the recieving end, and together they manage to muddle through the rest of the evening.
***WARNING***
This story does contain some baby-fur content and age regression and makes some minor reference to diaper usage. This aspect of Brock's world is not dwelt upon, however, as it is incidental to the story as a whole. To say that Brock needs diapers when he is regressed is like saying he has stripes on his face. It's simply a part of who he is, and I feel no need to make a big deal about it.
Author's Note: There's rather more diaper and baby-fur related content in this particular chapter than I'm usually comfortable with writing about. This is actually intentional, however, as neither character is particularly comfortable with the situation either, and I wanted to make some of these scenes rather difficult for them to deal with as well. The reality of what Bella has committed to weighs heavily on her, and Brock's condition weighs heavily on him. The point is, both need to learn to accept each other's strengths and weaknesses, and that's going to be a recurring theme in this and upcoming chapters.
On a somewhat related note... I can't wait until I get to the point where Brock reverts back to his normal form. I chose to give him a speech impediment during this youngest of his regressions, and frankly I'm getting REALLY tired of writing it! lol It's cute, but it's a bitch to write, especially considering how he talks. But, I made that decision and I'm stuck with it for at least one more chapter after this one.

I bet Brock talking must have sucked a lot. It's not easy writing baby talk and making it understandable. Still, you did a great job with it in the end. I love the little awkward moment Brock and Bella had in this chapter, was very cute and touching when it all came to an end You're giving me a lot of motivation to finish my story off, mate! Haha!

What's really frustrating about the baby talk, is that because I'm telling this part of the story from Bella's perspective, I can't really talk about how frustrated its making Brock. I mentioned it briefly a couple of chapters back, but there's really been no way to get that point across without him coming right out and saying it, and that just wouldn't work from a story perspective.
Yeah, that's probably gonna be just one of many touching, awkward moments for these two as they feel each other out and come to truly trust one another.

Another great chapter. I like the whole idea of Bella having to learn baby stuff, and being taught about it from a baby (well, baby-like badger, at least). It's an interesting dynamic. It's also interesting seeing the emotional state that both of them are in.
It's interesting seeing Bella have to learn everything from scratch. Based on your pics, I've only ever known Bella as a caregiving expert.
