And here we have everything put together. Definitely an impressive sight.
I do think the boneswords look much better than those tiny sabers. And I really do like the split tail. And both came out better than I had hoped :)
Next step: Painting! But that'll probably take me a while :P

How big is your Tyranid collection these days?
Something around that :)
its actually fairly simple to paint. I prime the whole thing white. Then I wash it with a mix if Red Ink and Scab Red (Yes, I'm still using the old paints. I've got almost 2 complete sets, and I'm not going to buy new ones until those are used up). Then I drybrush everything with blood red. The armor parts are painted with Chaos Black, then highlighted with various shades of grey. I might try to give it some structure, not sure yet. Mouth and teeth will be painted Chaos Black. Then the teeth will be picked out in Boltgun Metal. I usually don't bother highlighting them, since they are so small, the highlights don't show up. The tongue I'll paint... Um, I think it was Bronzed Flesh and highlighted by mixing it with Bleached Bone. Finally everything bone-colored is painted with Skull White and then given a wash with Gryphonne Sepia. Maybe some highlights with Bleached Bone, depending on how it turns out.
The base is gonna get your basic brown earth drybrush (Scorched Brown, Graveyard Earth, Kommando Khaki, if I remember correctly) with some light patches of basic, green static grass and a rim in Goblin Green. Back when I started this army the green rim was still the norm, and while i thought about changing it to brown, I kinda like it that way.
Oh, the Marine will get golden armor, blue shoulder pads and either a blue or red cape. That's the color scheme a friend of mine used, and that army was the first to feel the fury of his Tyrant ;)
Okay, I think that's it! You can see some examples on a photo all the way at the start of my galleria (or by using this link: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/256191/ )
