Everyone knows what a jerk Jeremy Clarkson can be, and in TJ's mind, someone needs to ram one of his several hundred thousand dollar convertibles with their car. In TJ's imagination, he recruited Richard Hammond for the job, and sacrificed his brand new BMW to accomplish the task.

Lol ugg I know what you mean, I watch both versions and really he just can be a big jerk because Jeremy Clarkson just can be one I suppose, also I am sure Richard would not mind doing that because I was just BMW headquarters in Germany and they have plenty of choices left for him to get a Brand new one that I am sure he can easily afford X3

That is true, May can REALLY get burnt on his assery and yes TJ would never be like that, I could never see it so Hammond makes total since that he would be the one to take out the aggression on.
(To tell the truth, he is mine as well and even though he can be like that it can make him enjoyable and funny in some ways so I will agree with you X3)
