Furry D&D - And now, back to our regularly(!) scheduled prog
<<< PREV | FIRST | NEXT >>>
Sorry it took me so very long to get this posted! Life, as always, delays. I will be continuing the game now, although there may be further delays depending on RL. I will attempt my best to ensure they are minimized!
Our intrepid heroes have spent the last few weeks training(and leveling up!) at the local guildhouse.
Marissa spent most of her time in the Guildhouse library, a huge vaulted room three stories tall with all the walls lined in bookshelves. Long ladders on tracks allow access to the higher shelves, and the natural lighting comes in through high glassed windows. Ancient, heavy tables with mystic runes instribed around the borders are splintered and scarred by some magical fight long ago. It is a quiet place, perfect for a learning spellcaster to learn a few new spells. Of course, it would have been easier to study if the slim fenec fox librarian, his hindquarters toned by years of shelving books high up on the racks, did not wear a short robe and no smallclothes.
Mekie has spent most of her training time in the practice yard, a sandy, open air square bordered by a porticoed stone walkway. delicate looking carved stone benches are stragetically placed around the yard, giving those practicing within a place to rest between bouts. Mekie used this area to practice her burgeoning whip skill, by mischeviously applying stripes and removing bits of clothing from her sparring partners, and then making it up to them later in the local taverns. And if they were a good sport, after a few tankards upstairs too!
Whault found a very nice chapel on the grounds, and although the clergy were all dedicated to Endymore, the chapel itself was more multidenominational. There was a very nice, quiet cathedral with some lovely inspirational stained glass windows that were the perfect place to worship, and one of them was even dedicated to Mossingtai. Whault also found himself spending a bit of time in that wonderfully bookish library as well, although oddly enough, the librarian did not seem to spend quite so much time shelving those high up books around him...
Na'Nfr spent most of his time avoiding a couple of overly friendly Anubian females who seemed facinated by his peach fur tones. The two rather busty females(one an Anubian priestess with golden fur, the other a rogue with a lighter, almost cream fur) spent quite a bit of time sneaking up on him so they can watch the Swordsage during his meditation or sword Katas, practically leering at him. Oddly enough, word around the Guildhouse is that with the exception of our intrepid Swordsage, those two were more interested in each other's company then the masculine members of the guild.
Indipendantly, then as a group during training, each of our heroes met the intrepid Sir Albus, an adventuring foreign knight. A pale white feline, Sir Albus was slim but well muscled. Although from a royal house, Sir Albus has fallen on hard times, having traveled far from home on an epic, and thus far, fruitless quest for a holy relic - a chalace of mystic worth. Having abandoned or sold most of his equipment, he retains a breastplate and a few knightly arms, most notably a morning star dubbed "Wit's End". Sir Albus has decided that, while he still feels the need to complete his holy quest, he is at a loss for where to search for it next and at a bit of a loss for funding as well. He recently joined the guild in the hopes of doing a little "fieldwork" in the hopes of turning up some clues as to where he could find the fabeled "Chalice of Magnamanity". Or at least turn up a little treasure to fund his continued search. After meeting each of you separately, Sir Albus runs into the four of you at a local tavern, and after a bit of drinking and socializing, asks if you might be seeking a new member to your party. Perhaps one used to being a "meat shield"?
Finding a fifth member and replacement for long-lost Jaedan, the party eventually makes it's way to the local guildhouse assignment office, where they are told there are three quests that the guild believes might be appropriate.
A local apothacary is in search of a valueable and rare herb for making medicines to be harvested from the trackless jungles to the west. Gold to be paid upon delivery of goods
Rumors of a gathering of dangerous and nefarous sand witches in the dusty deserts to the east. The local constabulatory is willing to outfit the party with equipment and supplies, and pay a modest fee to any adventurers willing to spend a few weeks combing the deserts in search of these criminals. There are rumors of loot from waylaid caravans.
A princess in need of rescuing from a dragon in the mountains to the north. Her father offers a royal reward(unspecified) for her return. And of course, dragons always have treasure hordes, right?
Now the party just needs to decide which way they want to go...

mekie will welcome albus into the group with open arms. "though you still have to go through the initiation and interview process in my bedchambers later but thats meerly a formality" shell say with a flirtatious wink.
upon reading the quest mekie lights up like a torch "ohhh dragon dragon lets go do that one. we pick that one." shell say in an overexcited grin.
((also in the time of her training mekie would like to have gotten a necklace or medallion of Shiryn. would that be ok? she would also like to check up on smiles and see how her "business ventures" with Oaso ))

((Hee! You're pretty much wearing Shiryn's symbol as part of your outfit. Shiryn's symbol is a dark moon, most commonly depicted as an empty circle. But if you want to get a necklace with her symbol on it, I'm totally good with that. As an unofficial accolyte, Akela is quite willing to sell you one made of a lovely silver on a silver chain. Being made of silver, it has an added benefit of being repulsing to Riss-Da'an's vampires. Shiryn's have no aversion to silver.
Oaso is doing quite well in his ventures, although oddly, he doesn't seem to be making very many sales. Probably because his business partner is keeping his shop tightly closed to the public for long periods on end...))

((hehehe thats awesome i will totaly spend the money to get a silver one from akela. ill even see if shes willing to let me work off a bit of a discount ))
mekie will love the news of Oaso and his business "troubles" and make a note to shop their more often to help make up for the lovely inconvenience XD in fact when he is open shell ask him "if i were to kill a dragon what part of it would be valuable to you as an alchemist?" also if she manages to see smiles she will ask her through sign language how big Oasos equipment is X3 out of earshot of Oaso of course X3

Na'Nfr will of course welcome a new companion, even with a whistful smile of the lost Jaeden. The Anubian is certainly looking forward to being away from those like-hued desert-hounds of his culture. In fact, he's quite often excusing himself when they show up! He would be up for anything, of course- though the desert seems to be the most pulling to his own tastes- especially after how well the group did with a caravan in the past!
Whault has been quite happy to welcome Sir Albus to the group, although he might possibly come off as a bit nosy at times; frequent barrages of questions regarding his past adventures being not at all uncommon during their meetings.
After having a chance to learn of the available quests, Whault puts his vote towards investigating the sand witch rumors. "That one sounds familiar. Might have something to do with the witch we ran into before, with the caravan."

"Why we must rescue the Princess of course!" The feline turned to his new companions, although he hadn't known them long, from what he had seen they were capable of holding there own.
"An alchemist's herbs can wait and I'm sure the sand witches will still be here when we return but this Princess is in danger now!" He stomps over to the window and gazes out of it as if to look into the dragon's lair itself, in truth there was another building across the street so the view was limited while he pretended to look wisely into the distance.
After a while he turned to Whault, he placed his hand on his shoulder and looked at him "You must be brave, a princess needs our assistance and it is the honorable thing to leave here post haste and save her from the wicked clutches of this monster!" He feline had been know to over dramatizes things but then again he was also a knight and making themselves appear greater than they already are is half of the job description.
"So my new companions, are you with me?"
((Hello everyone! Nice to meet yah, I'm Sir Albus' player and I hope I gel well with you guys =3))
((P.S. Sorry this took so long to reply too, I was driving to Anthrocon and I'm currently here! :D ))

Mekie happily claps her hands "yay magoraty rules. We go for the dragon and if we need to we can use whault as bait." She sais giving him a sly teasing wink and then goes over to the dramatic knight. " you've got so much energy I like that in a man" she sais fluttering her eyelashes at him.
