Concept Sketch: Lyra

When I am stuck sitting behind one of these guys ( http://www.bdbiosciences.com/instru...../lsr/index.jsp ) for four hours with it running in a semi automated manner, I get some sketch time at work. I did this one over about two and a half hours while running the equipment to keep me from nodding off.
This is Lyra, age 16, career criminal in the making and her notorious father, Morticon, is quite proud of her. What of her mother? Hitomi 'Umbra' Ikari isjust as notorious as a ninja with kleptomania, so she pretty much good with this or she wouldn't have had a kid!
Graphite on sketch paper. about 150 minutes to make, about 2 minutes for the scanner to butcher it since graphite is shiny. If anyone has good tips for this, please let me know!

The thing I like about charcoal is that it's easy to scratch things into it before you fix it. ^^
