So, first picture on this site - this is the Gareckta Kai raiding party from my story The Genesis Era. You'll probably be seeing more of them and their world from me, so you may as well meet them all. They are:
Back row, L-R:
Yano Merakka - resident scary big guy. Has a war hammer called Missy Shiny, is on his eighth wife and likes to tell people he's a cyborg.
Bakette Merakka - said eighth wife of Yano, and so far the only one really able to deal with his mood swings. Has a predeliction for unusual weapons, and a past nobody can really pin down.
Kanoi Holtzi - Gang leader's oldest acknowledged son, at 12 (about 15 in human years - sand dog puberty happens early and fast). Bigger than he used to be, but can still drop off high places onto people's necks with a lucerne hammer in each hand.
Schlan Holtzi - Gang leader. Takes no crap from anyone. Imagine Malcolm Reynolds with Jayne's morals and a falcata.
Pertzo Manai - Schlan's lieutenant and best friend, and a really nasty piece of work. Hates pretty much everyone, protective of a few. Has a dark and difficult past.
Rechsah Loretz - Snarky ex-opium addict bitch with no consideration for anyone else, no noticeable regrets and a grenade launcher. How much of her personality is a front is unknown.
Front row, L-R:
Linze Mekte - Deceptively cheerful. Airhead chatter can dissolve into technobabble. Her real love is technology, and her dune buggy. No, her hand is not a chainsaw, but she can chop a prairie dog in half with a chainsaw.
Vortz Hekaton - Gang chemist. Linze's best friend and fuckbuddy. Has a disease connected to his albinism that will see him dead before he's forty unless he finds a cure, which he might. Frighteningly intense, a genius and prone to terrifying mood swings. Likes explosives.
Schippa Holtzi - Schlan's oldest child, at 14 (about 17 for a human). Insecure, paranoid but an instinctively good trader. Has a crush on Vortz and a rocket launcher with her name on it.
Hakt Dsento - Resident pretty boy, except he's married. Hakt is also an art dealer with a tendency to get depressed if not watched out for, and he loathes Pertzo and won't follow any of his orders. Has a katana that his husband got him, from where we don't know.
Tren Tzamelack - Hakt's husband, and the person who stops him being depressed and who also keeps him from slotting Pertzo. Has a very dark sense of humour and a big rifle collection.
