I neither like formal, nor informal. Both extremes have drawbacks.
When it comes to communication and hanging out with people, I'm not the one who can completely relax and loosen up, due to being too reserved.
When it comes to clothing, orderly formal is not for me. It doesn't fit my messed up messy mess of a personality. Unless they're covered with dirt, having been acidentally/deliberately spilled acid on, or slightly ragged. (When clothes have natural marks - they tell stories. They have life to them not present otherwise.)

This one is a favorite if not least for the spankin' use of yellow. That's just delicious, that is. The techno-details which read as brushstrokes from afar/in thumbnail are ultra keen as well. Hell, maybe they ARE brushstrokes and I'm adding my own to them. Which is great. Audience involvement. Yup. This one's my favorite so far, but then again, I am a pushover for bright colors.
Good to know you like it. Thanks. :]
In a way they are brushstrokes, but in a way they aren't. I'm still trying to use them so that they wouldn't stand out as much. But they have too much tech-feel about them... =/
Heheh, I can't help it - I keep gravitating towards bright colors... :]

Eh, I feel like sometimes you need to try for 100% on a couple of pieces before you can really be sure you've learned what you can from someone, and he's definitely a worthwhile source to draw influence from. While I don't know that I'd call this an ideal destination for you (or anyone who isn't Mr. Jones ^_^), I certainly don't think it's anything you should feel bad about passing through along the way.
I look forward to seeing where you go from here ^_^
