final of five commissions for teiirka I finished it today and because it's taken too long already I decided to post it as a sort of status update. The situation with the scanner is still playing; I'm waiting for a new one to arrive, so I can only make terrifyingly crappy photographs of bigger drawings. I've tried everything, but I can never get a good photo of anything I draw. It could be the camera that's still from the stone age, but I digress.
Either way, this could count as an update that I'm actually finished. I am terribly sorry for the long time it's taking to get a new scanner ;-; This image is only temporart until I can upload a newer, cleaner one.

Thank you so much! By lack of a detailed background I always like to make the image fade into the white so it doesn't look pasted on =) But I do need to practice some full-page backgrounds in the near future, because my gallery doesn't have nearly enough of them X)
It's actually quite an average piece of paper, I think. The light bouncing of of my (orange) room and the crappy quality of the photographs my old camera takes combined might make it seem a bit different than it is. I assure you the surface of it isn't as smooth as you'd expect of hot-pressed paper. I truly hope I'll be able to make a better scan sometime soon.
You absolutely must excuse the photo-quality of this one. I know I've said it before, but the orange colors of the drawing and the orange of the walls in our house don't mix and make for terrible images :( As soon as I have a new scanner, you'll get the better full-resolutions.
Aside from that, I'm glad you like it, of course! I loved drawing her face and all the tiny little beads on the necklaces =D

Now you know how I feel when I post most of my work. Most of it is too big for any local scanner and if I don't want to wait 2 to 4 months to post a completed piece, I have to use a camera which is hit and miss at best. Mostly a poor miss.
I know yours will look even better IRL, they always do. :D
