A few days ago I learnt crochet, well, the basics, after buying a hook and ball of wool down the road in a shop run by one of the kindest people ever. It seems to be a thing with wool/craft shop owners, always so kind. I then bought a kit that had a whole load of stuff in it, 5 hooks, a tape measure, a booklet with lessons and patterns, and it had stitch markers and a wool cutter thingy. Pretty cool. I got a French knitter (knitting spool) thingy too, and made a over 3 meter tube that I then coiled up and sewed into a coaster.... Anyway! Last night I made this bee!! Then I made a flower in about five minutes with a little loom thingy. The green under them is a crocheted square that I made as practise, the green behind that is a sheet of foam. The red sphere is the end of the stick that came with the French knitter, but it's a bit pants.
Countless granny squares were made (and not harmed) before this bee was attempted.
What's in the cup? THERE'S NOTHING TO SEE IN THIS CUP ON MY KNEE!
As per the pattern creators request the bee cannot be sold. Perhaps if I adapt the pattern.. I mean I did make a few mistakes that did work out in end, also the pattern called for beads as eyes.. I just tied a few knots in the wool....
