Misha Vodanovic
I've been toying with a comic story to replace ROOMIES when I end that webcomic later this year and I'm doing something entirely too silly and strange by designing the characters in advance. Funky, huh?
This one is of Misha Vodanovic, payload master of the USV102 RECOVERY.
This comic project will appear online but also in a real comic publication once there enough pages to do so. I'm expecting to be able to release two comics a year this way by using weekly comic pages.
Who knows if this will actually work or not, but hey, it will be an adventure trying it out. :)

I asked a group of folks on Tapestries this morning for suggestions of a name. I wanted something slovic/russian/middle european. The first and last names were suggested by different people.
I can practically hear the heavy accent of the gruff voice of this badgeress.

I suggested the last name. Here in Chile, where I came back after a long while, there's a great Croatian community.
One of my classmates, back in the 80s, was named Mladen Milošević. And was a second generation Chilean, so he didn't know any Croatian, and despite his name, was as Chilean as anyone else.

First off: You're ending Roomies?!! Nooooo!!!! ~cling to and sobs pathetically~ I just started reading that, and it took me two days to get caught up in the storyline! Waaaah...
Secondly: I'm glad to hear you're starting a new web-comic, and I hope you'll give us the address. I look forward to reading it when you get it up. :)
Thirdly: Awesome pic! I think there aren't enough female badgers in the fandom, and she's definitely a hot one. Draw more of her! :P

Are you planning on using a different content/comic-management system on the new comic? Comicpress is currently the popular system, and I'm really enjoying it on my upcoming comic. The main drawback I'm seeing with the system Roomies uses is that it doesn't have an rss feed or email subscription option, which is generally a prerequisite for me following a comic. ComicPress, which runs on Wordpress, offers rss, and there are plugins for email subscriptions(as well as just about anything else you'd need).
