I'm actually surprised the Star Trek world has never included an alien species that looks like anthropomorphic animals. On the original Star Trek the costumes would have probably looked like crap, but with modern costume making abilities (ie. Clockwork Creature), costumes could be made of anthro animal alien species that look just phenomenal. It might require a little bit of CGI or animatronics to add some variability of expression and facial features or swishing tails, though. I'd love to see that!
