Thought I'd posted this after AC, apparently not...
Personally, I like the old B-movie quality Cybermats over the "Bitey" design in the new Doctor Who series. Here's my attempt at something in this style -- with full credit given to http://myuntemperedschism.blogspot......on-budget.html for the brilliant idea of using a plastic scoop for the main body. Now I just need to find a cheap micro r/c to stick inside it....then, if possible, build the remote into a Cyberman Infostamp....
As can be seen, I did the "teeth" different than in the above link (shorter, less splayed) and I really should've used a sharpie for the eyes rather than try to paint the designs on...
Components/tools: Plastic scoop (body); thick placemat (tail segments); flat-head screws; bolts; washers; wooden beads (antennae tips); copper wire (antennae); wooden spheres (eyes); painter's caulk; white primer; silver floral paint; felt; coping saw; power drill
