Pssst, not a good idea to drive on soggy sod if you care for your lawn. The ruts from the wheels can become permanent.

The yard has had so much rain plus a collapsed stratus (well) that in some places it has sank almost 3 feet. There are plans to literally blade he entire property to relevel it and replant the sod. If it is sod, lol!

Egad. I use 'sod' to refer to established grass with a good, thick tangle of grass roots. It can be very resilient even being underwater continuously for weeks or under heavy snow for many months.

I did landscaping work for a few years and have seen the consequences (and had to repair) even light equipment being driven over soggy ground. We had to be really careful with the equipment we used, even walk-behind mowers.

Funny toy note Landscaping equipment.. I work on small equipment for a living. Like pluggers, blowers walk behinds.. ETC. I know what you mean on having walk behinds and zero track mowers sink and rut a yard.

Where I am at near the coast sand is a problem too, Hard to grow anything in sand. There is no nutrition in sand.
