That's the thing about it that gets into my head though what if someone you know agrees to give you it and when you get it and tried it it turns into Y instead of X? my sis told my something like that happened to a different pokemon years ago but forgot which gen it was =/
Well, it depends on the item it has for which form it turns to (it's like Charizardite X and Charizardite Y or something), so it's not version dependent. Unless the item changes when you'd trade it, but I guess we won't know until someone tries :)
