Mitsubishi Starion

Sold in the US as the Starion or through the Chrysler Corp as the Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth Conquest. The naming of this car has been a point of controversy as Mitsubishi claimed it was a shortened version of "star of Orion". However urban legend says that it comes from the "Engrish" mistranslation for stallion.
Automotive journalist Paul Niedermeyer points out that an early Japanese television commercial for the Starion had a closing logo featuring the profile of a stallion's head with the word "Starion" below it. The translation of the commercial describes the name as referring to a star and the mythical horse, Arion. The Mitsubishi Colt and Mitsubishi Eclipse also had equine-related names, with the Eclipse being named after the champion racehorse.

Such nice cars. That one could use a little TLC, considering the front air dam and the classy '80s sun-dying paint... but still. I'd drive it.
