It's at this point that I now enter the lineart stage. I turn down the opacity of the two sketch layers and work from there. But while this should've been quick, I was slow as molasses in January around here. What can I say? I try to get things right on the first try, but I often end up hitting "Undo" over and over again thinking "oh, the line's off" or "ugh, that's too thick of a line; it should be tapered!"
On the plus side, I really liked how everything was coming together... For now. I tried a little twist on the last eye style I attempted. Plus it's not often you see me attempting to draw a muzzle. Be honest: is it even half-decent-looking to you? By the next stage, though, things go horribly wrong.
