When visiting  bgn's streams, I knew that I couldn't ask for a commission of Sorbet in his usual outfit; the guy's head would explode just wondering how anyone would be able to comprehend the possibility of making such an outfit, much less have the patience to try! Unfortunately, when I stuck around for the stream, I still ended up finding myself inspired to get a commission drawn by the guy. Fortunately, that inspiration came from some similarities I noticed between Vince's drawing style and oriental art styles, like the one  haps used in an earlier commission.

For this piece, however, since the theme was 'oriental,' I decided that the outfit and cuisine Sorbet would have it themed after should probably match as well. Rather than going with a kimono, however, I decided to base his outfit after a jinbei, a summer garb that, as it happens, was also the inspiration behind one of my favorite characters of all time! Also, the fact that I ended up going with takoyaki as the food theme for the outfit is also kind of funny, since Sorbet's already a bit of a butterball. X D
