Michi trying her hand at a train simulator in the cab of an actual loco (a U25B), at the Toronto Rail Museum.
She looked so cute I couldn't help but take a pic... :)

She actually did fine. She had her train up to 60 going into a curve at one point but was able to successfully slow the train to a stop without derailing it.
I will say one thing - that simulator gives me a far better appreciation of how long it takes to stop an actual train, as well as what it takes. I can also see where my railroading pals come from when they talk about the near misses, accidents and vehicles/trucks that they've hit (believe it or not, if an engineer thinks that that stalled tanker truck on the tracks has flammable liquids in it, they're gonna gun that throttle not close it, and bounce the trailer off rather than slow and be a flaming fireball on rails and potentially burn to death! ).
