I don't have a critique for the drawing, but to improve the sharpness of your photos: take several, then choose the sharpest (especially where the sharpness is most noticeable, such as around the eye or detailed armor, etc.). After that, open the best photo in an editing program (Gimp is free-- use whatever you have or can get). You need a program that includes a "brush sharpen", "convolve" or "unsharp mask". Some apply with a brush and some apply with a select tool. You can pick out the distractingly blurry bits and improve them.

My interest in this pic is growing! Maybe the eyes could be a little more expressive?

I have made 3 major adjustments to the eye and I am happiest with this one. Calm/passive before the battle is how I picture him. I do need to work on eye expressions overall though. Thanks for the input.
