It still seemed like a bad dream. Mikaela could hardly believe it. His body had died, taking his friend's soul with it, and now he was trapped in hers. Such a vastly different form than his own, he had traded a trunk for a bill, a flat chest for breasts, and a male anatomy for an egg laying female body. His feet were no longer thick and sturdy, but webbed and delicate.
Long hair cascaded down her shoulders as she examined the bra her body was wearing when she went to bed. Dressed in a fresh set of clothes from her body's apartment, she held it before her. "How do women wear these?" She still found it hard to adjust to being female.
As far as anyone knew, her former identity had died in the car accident. Now she was Mikaela, with a male mind and an elephant's soul. When she had first awoken and Ashley had told her their fate, she had denied it at first. With the bracelet gone and their bodies dead, she had taken a full week to accept it.
Her body had taken every opportunity to remind her of it as well. New tastes, new ways of conducting basic body functions, and just being shorter was a shock. She had confided in Ashley, and the two discussed moving in together, as they were the only ones who knew their true natures, and no one else would believe them, or would they?
Mikaela had foolishly mentioned to 'her' mother that she was a man trapped in a woman's body, and her mother had called someone. She did not know who her new mother had called, though she was certain she should not have said anything to her this soon.
It was too late now, she would have to deal with whatever came of it.

Erika: "Permanence in an unfortunate way. I kinda like the idea of being stuck in a new form, but this would not be how I'd want it to happen. Still, this is pretty interesting, and something I've sometimes thought of when considering the true risks of body swapping. Is this part of a bigger story? I'd like to know more about what's going on and who this is, or was.
Also, I feel like I should mention my brother and I (well, mainly him) recently went through a platypus kick. I'll admit, it was kinda fun, and I wouldn't mind exploring the differences such a body would have in more detail someday. But I'm pretty sure Dray has gotten it out of his system, for now."

That's kind of the idea, they didn't really want it to be a permanent stay, but now they're stuck. As a result, they'll have to figure out how to live in their new bodies. Of course, given the nature of the bracelet it was meant for such permanent switches, but most usually use it to switch back. ;) This will be an ongoing pic series between three couples.
Platypus's are fun. ;)

Draygone: "It's actually not very gross. What's going on is that platypusses don't have nipples. Which make sense, 'cause how would a baby suckle on a nipple if they got beaks? So it kinda sweats out instead for the babies to lap up.
Another big difference (and this part is kinda gross) is that they only have one 'hole' down there for all their bodily functions. Kinda like birds. Now THAT has gotta be an interesting change to experience. When me and Erika turned our characters into platypusses recently, I really wanted to bring that up, but I couldn't think of how to do that without being creepy (our characters are kids)."

Wow, this story arc sure is brings a darker side to this swap bracelet, I've always see you portray the light sexy side of the thing but wow, it's true what IF you couldn't turn back when you thought you could. Especially with the additional weigh of such a heavy loss, really twice the loss hu. The whole darker side to the swap bracelet gave me an idea.
I just want to reiterate I love your stories and your writing style!

Well, like all of your stories, I quite look forward to seeing where this one goes. And I am more then sure, given the predicament they are in, that gender issues are going to happen. If I magically had a females body I would have to fight hard to stop myself from walk into the males restroom.
