I don't know how many times this old stereotype was turned on its head, either before, or after, my stab at it. I drew it for the cover of a club publication of a parody of old pulp magazine science fiction. We credited "Revenge in Interplanetary Space" to Hamilton Smith. Smith is as much fiction as his incredibly bad purpose prose, of course.
