I worked on the color off and on Sunday, not sure how many hours. I was going pretty slow and careful but I still have issues with the face I'm gonna work on this evening. I should have his body done thursday working evenings. Back grounds for me though are the killer.

This looks great! Just the right amount of detail on him.
What is going to be in the BG? It probably could live without one, but just looking at it, for me it seems like a room with Roman style columns and red cloth is where this lion rests

The setting is in an informal meeting room. The BG will be spot lit so there will be large areas of dark. There may be columns but not Romanesque. Probably wooden.

I really admire the soft color shading, while still remaining in good contrast.
I've asked this prior and forgot the response: are you using polys or prismas?

I use Polys. Prismas don't come close to blending and shading like my polychromos.
