How could I NOT make a reaction image to this? XD
Incidentally, this is the first time I've drawn Todd directly facing the viewer. =)

No, that's not correct. Simply touching the stone won't activated it. In fact, in both the main series as well as the Mystery Dungeon games, an eevee can HOLD an evolution stone without it doing anything. In the Mystery Dungeon titles, there's obviously no trainers to use the stones, so the Pokemon would used the stones themselves.
That is true. But in a world where humans don't exist, and where there's no Luminious spring (is there in your comics? Just asking), contacts would be what causes the evolution to happen.
It's your comic though, so, your free to do whatever the heck you want with it.
Also, I was thinking of making an encourgement story based around your Pokemorph comic once I'm done with my current personal project (that is, if I get it done in time). Hope you don't mind me doing it.

To be fair though, no one knows for sure how the stone evolutions work. There is still so much about Pokemon that has yet to be explained to the public.
To unravel such mysteries, I've been undertaking research. Up until christmas of last year, I was researching the strange occurence that is Roaming Pokemon. There are several things I've dug up: First, there's the topic oftheir funcction. For one reason or another, these pokemon flee at the sight of a trainer. There are several ways to counter this, but Pokemon like Ente and Raiku have moves that cause you to flee should you use such counters. Next, we have the storm calling Pokemon known as Thunderus and Tornadus. These wondering Pokemon are unique in that wherever they are, cause a storm to happen, which can be good or bad (in the caseof route 4 in Unova, it is good because you can catch Pokemon without worry of the sandstorm killing them because the wheather will change to rainy wheather).
However, there are many other mysteries of the series. The method of how Evolution stones work is one of those said mysteries.
