So Carnage had gotten word that Sterling was messing with both his sisters, Arora and Abby. So he ended up catching him in the act and what started out as a sparring match with rattling antlers grunts and heavy breathing only ended by Carnage offering his hand to Sterling, both accepting and earning a mutual respect allowing Sterling a free pass to both his sisters.
