Alright, after an entire re-write and a few days of general faffery I've finally finished this next bit!
Probably enjoyed writing this a bit more than I should have, which may or may not have to do with the fact that there are stupidly big, unaware lionesses at some point. :>

At any rate please read, enjoy and if you feel so inclined... review!

Wait, if Emily knew Mark was a human from the get go, does that mean there are macro humans? Just wondering since she seemed awfully surprised he was of the smallish size! Also I never would have guessed you would have had such fun writing about mountainous lioness thighs almost smooshing the other main character. |3
Yup, there are macro humans as well as furs in this world! Probably a fact I should have established earlier on, mind you! >.>
And yeah! X3 Though it was probably a lot more fun for me to write than it was for Mark to go through, but I'm sure it's one of those things that he'll look back on and laugh. Probably.

That's what caught my attention at first too, it certainly seems that way considering Emily found out Mark is human long ago but was still shocked to discover he is a micro. Glad to see I was not the only one surprised by the implications of that.
When neither of them seemed to show any surprise at the other's appearance in the video chat, I actually at first assumed this meant between part 1 and 2 they had already found the truth about each other long ago, especially since Mark saw no problem with meeting up on macro territory. I assumed it was going to skip the whole "micro and macro find out about each other by meeting for the first time" common scenario found in many of these by having them have already realized it online long ago and continue to be friends. (Especially since you'd think after a few years even with text chat, one of them might have caught onto clues that the other was a human/fur).
But then the story plays that straight by (apparently) throwing the completely different twist of humans not being micro-only, which then actually makes sense why even if they didn't have video chat neither of them realized the truth about the other for years. (Huh, could have sworn Part 1 mentioned that all micros were human, but now that I looked back at it, that was clearly not the case. The existence of macro humans was still a shock here though.).
(Also, I thought the cellphone bit was kinda reminiscent of Jack and Jill.... then I noticed the keywords).

Having them realize the others sizes early on, but still continue to be friends despite that would have been a neat path to take this down, aye! But at the end of the day it wasn't really the story I wanted to tell.
Also, I've made a quick edit to the first chapter that should hopefully clear up any confusion about the existence of macro humans in the future. I definitely should have established that earlier, at any rate. >.<
And yeeaaah, the cellphone thing! As I was writing it I was like "well this is sort of similar to something I read once, but it can't be THAAAAT bad..." And then I showed it to Gadabout who linked Jack and Jill to me... And yeah it was a lot more similar than I realized. :x Still I figured it was different enough that I could still post, but I made sure to acknowledge the inspiration for that scene.

Mainly, the only reason the first one would have been surprising to the reader is because so many of these kinds of stories drum up the inevitable first meeting part so much (and then many of them also have no idea where to go after making the characters meet and just never get updated again or finished...) so to have had them realize it AND get over it off "camera" so to speak would have been a different angle to take. Certainly would make their first meeting very different too since the whole shock at the others's size would not be there.
However, your angle is just as much as a surprise, and honestly, one that is probably even less expected, which brings me to my other point:
"Also, I've made a quick edit to the first chapter that should hopefully clear up any confusion about the existence of macro humans in the future. I definitely should have established that earlier, at any rate. >.<"
Personally, I don't think you should have done this. Notice how many people here were surprised at this because so many settings tend to always make all humans micros only. The reader figuring out "Wait, if she knew he is human but didn't expect him to be a micro, then that must mean..." was probably my favorite thing about this story so far. I honestly liked it more before because it both requires the reader to figure it out, and essentially plays on the reader's expectations just because so many other stores wouldn't have macro humans in them. Just spelling it all out kinda ruins this, that and even if there were never a mention of each others's sizes, the fact that this is posted under Macro/Micro and its the well-known trope of two friends over the internet would have made people see this coming anyway, Emily not having any shock at Mark's species first drummed up all sorts of questions in the reader's head, then her still not knowing he is a micro when they met made the reader finally figure out, I think that works better than making everything known since then you know exactly how everything will play out, and a lot of the surprise and thinking is gone.

Hmm, you know I didn't think of it that way. I honestly thought it was more of a point of confusion. But you make a really good point in letting the reader figure it out themselves rather than spelling out every single little detail.
Alright, well I'll go back and take the bit I added out again. Thanks a bunch!

Really enjoyed this. Funny how being such a minuscule size in a way actually makes them safer from macros than micros in other stories. Mark got to enjoy a rather pleasant, if terrifying, view for hours and likely would have gone entirely unnoticed if he didn't slip up at the last moment.
Nice bit of easy subversion there allowing macro humans, avoids the rather easy hole of how did his species never come up in the years they've been talking. Also nice to see that he didn't have the standard horror of going into giant lands like you see in most of these stories, he barely blinked at the waiver, the idea of thrill seekers basically people watching is cool.
Can't wait to read more.

Wow, thank you very much for the kind words!
Yeah, that is the one thing with the micros in this world; they're much more vulnerable to the macros but the fact that they're so small puts them beneath the notice of most threats.
And aye, I was trying to think of ways to make their lack of knowledge about the others size seem believable! Of course there are other holes with that (like how the question of where the other one lived never came up >.>), but I'll be doing my best to deal with those in the next bit where they start discussing stuff like that.
Also I'm glad you liked that idea! Really they could put whatever they wanted to on that waiver and they'd still get people like Mark who just want to get away from the big scary man by signing as quickly as possible.
I'll absolutely be trying to get the next part out as quickly as I can!

Aaaand finished, found the time in the evening to give this a read just before bed--it's 1:30 in the morning where I'm at mind you, I dragged myself into the waking world for you! D:
Still great! Once again the way the world operates was deftly handled and hinted at while trotting along at an eager pace toward the eventual meetup, which worked without a hitch. Interesting how their size disparities were revealed; as mentioned above, her shock at his micro size even with the knowledge that he's a human says a bit. Heh, also like how he just breezed through the waiver. So wise.
Poor Mark; he shoulda known that thighs absorb reception like sponges. It's science fact o: Looking forward to getting to the next part, and the part after, whenever you happen to finish it!

Goodness me, truly I have been given the highest and most rare honour of the late night lazangoose review! O:
And yes, as well all know waivers are to be signed after being barely read and of COURSE you don't get cell reception between thighs! The waves just bounce off the walls, yes.
