So after six months of this being 80% finished, and me getting major anxiety whenever I so much as looked at it, it's finally here! Yaaaay. I am incredibly sorry that it took this long to finally complete, and I hope that it's good enough to make up for how long it took to get here.
That said, as usual please read, enjoy and if you feel so inclined... review!

I'm going to reply to all three of the chapters so far in one comment, as I read them all in one go. I'll separate things best I can but there's a bit of overlap anyway.
Strictly speaking, mega micro isn't my thing at all. And to be honest? I have no idea why, a it isn't, as this was absolutely wonderful to read. Both Emily and Mark are extremely likeable characters, and my only real complaint is that there isn't more of it!
SPOILER ALERT - Do not read ahead if you haven't read the story.
Chapter I: Penpals
I realised that I was going to enjoy the story a lot from the get go. I kinda felt the introduction with the technician was a little bit redundant, even if recovering files for students, teachers not plugging things in etc, etc is all very relevant to my own line of work. But after that it was all just fantastic. The interaction through letters was adorable. I love the idea of them prejudging one another from the technological differences, and I thought the subtle hints that there will be size differences was really clever. Mentioning the blades of grass outside of Mark's school for example. As I mentioned before, I just wish there was a more of it. Maybe a few more letters back and forth. I know it's all implied, but I was really getting into it, and I would have loved to read more before the jump! Also letters from a 9(?) year old (relatively) megamacro lioness is just absolutely adorable. All in all though, great chapter, it was an delight to read. Oh and I really like the world you have set up here. The differences in technology as well as the "live and let live" relations between the two completely unique nations... at least until they're on the other side of the border that is.
Chapter II: Let's Meet
Not knowing the characters prior to reading this, the jump from chapter 1 to 2 in age was quite a shock to the system. I wasn't expecting it! But yeah, to think the characters are still communicating after all these years, and haven't clicked to the size difference is absolutely lovely. I quite like the naivety of the pair, especially if they've talked over webcams and such, as there were probably a lot of chances for them to work out the size difference at an earlier date, but it's nice that they didn't! As for their first meeting itself. I.. have to say that was pretty amazing. I love that they don't know either one is there. I assume he didn't look up high enough to actually realise it was her? Or were her thighs blocking the view?
Chapter III: Well, this is awkward
Great work on the characterisation and the wide range of emotions the characters are going through as they go through the sudden realisation. I kind of wonder what preconceptions each of them had about macros / micros and how instantly they were shattered when they realised their long term friend is one of them. Using their phones as a method of interaction is a great idea. All in all, brilliant work, I love all the things you got them to do with one another.
But yes. As you can probably tell, I'm very impressed with this, and I apologise for not reading it sooner. Great work!

Oh wow, thank you so much! I'm incredibly glad that you've enjoyed the story as much as you have.
I think I'll definitely go back and write some short scenes involving Emily and Mark when they were kids at some point, and in fact that was what I was originally going to do for part two! However part way through writing it I felt that there wouldn't be enough to create a sufficiently interesting chapter all on its own. Oh, and yeah Emily and Mark are about 7-9 years old when they first start communicating.
Anyways, sorry for the lackluster reply to your humbling and rather amazing review! It's late here and I told myself I'd reply to this by tonight! D:< But I'll definitely poke you on IRC sometime soon so we can chat about this more in depth~

Aaand got to the last one because I'm an unstoppable monster. :V Again, lovely, and it was great to see more interaction between the two. The dialogue felt realistic and casual, which is always a joy to read. Heh, also like how Mark apparently has a thing for paws. Who knew? :P
That date will be something else, no doubt. I await it eagerly. :3
