Verfatica, protector of the forest, breathing life into a flower.
I haven't been uploading much for a long time, and that is because I'm not drawing much anymore. I have a 6 days a week job as a dolphin and sea lion trainer and I am constantly exhausted and free time is limited. I've been working on this piece in many many short sittings. Thankfully I draw a lot during the winter when I'm not working because I am not part of the EU (my current passport is Canadian) and have to leave the park for 3 months.

I suppose. I'm a year and a half away from getting my psych degree, but for now I am taking a long break and I'll be training until I don't want to do it anymore. For now I still do, I love my animals. Especially my super fat ones. http://www.shinigamigirl.com/photos/fatjuju.jpg :P
As impressive as this is, I finally have to come out of lurking and actually post for the first time to comment.
Absolutely beautiful work. Managing to get that humanesque expression of love and concern upon those entirely draconic features is perhaps my favorite part of this work, if I were forced to pick a favorite aspect of it. The detail... the musculature... Just all of it is truly amazing!

No, seriously... I came to love that old guy a lot and this picture is such a wonderful interpretation of him. Aaand than there is the fact that the flower looks suspicially like a lotus. XD *squeeeee*
Also there is something about the squiggly sketchy outlines and the colouring style that makes this piece even more interesting tolook at. My eyes get constantly cought at this flank... the part of his body below his arms, along his stomach down to his hips... I could stare at that for hours! ^^
