Kitsune Enchantment

9.5" x 12.5 " color pencil with a warm gray 9 copic back ground base.

Lots of experimenting again. Definitely learned a LOT with this one, a few dos and more don'ts.

A short story is in the works for this one. "Kitsune Gift" In the story, she is blind.

How do you get the colored pencils so smooth? Do you use a marker blender?

Sorry about the late reply. In most of my drawings, I have not used a blender but more recently, I have. just a smudge stick really to get rid of the graininess in certain areas. But I still use it sparingly. Mostly I'm just heavy handed when applying the color pencil.

Faber-Castell. I tried the others but the Polychromos were so much smoother and I can get much better fur affects. More expensive though but they last longer.

yup...there goes my heart. Beautiful work there... I personally love the lighting in this one. The pink/purple hues really goes well with the black/white parts of the piece.

Thanks! took her to TFF in Dallas and showed her in the art show (NFS) even though she was not quite finished. One fellow tracked me down and insisted on purchasing her. :)
