Awwww...you made him so pretty!
It's kinda funny...have you ever seen the "Rockman Zero" manga? (I don't believe it was actually published in the U.S., they did ZX, but not Zero.) I had to laugh at the concept the author/artist used........................Zero became totally a girly-wimp if he wasn't wearing his helmet? Well, that was definitely different!!! It was a CoroCoro Comic, so I expected it to be more serious, like the EXE manga. *lol*

I actually haven't read that one. I got the first volume for the ZX series, but I haven't gotten the EXE or Giga-Mix series. I did read about that character trait that they gave Zero though, seemed like a dumb choice to make him like that. Maybe if he was more inexperienced, but when he puts the helmet on he gets vague memories from his past? idk, I'll probably look it up eventually and actually read it. *may also draw something specifically for Zero eventually* :>
I know whenever I'd get the rare chance to go to Japanese bookstores...I'd scoop up everything "Rockman", no matter what it was. I had most of the EXE manga before VIZ badly translated it, but made sure I definitely collected them all. I don't just mean that they went with the dubbed American version of the anime for names...but their printing of the manga was so dark and harsh--it really seemed to skew the artwork. UDON did a far better job with the manga they translated, for sure.
I still shake my head whenever I re-read (to the best of my minor Japanese reading ability) that "Zero" manga. *lol*

lol.I haven't actually picked up any japanese manga, haven't really tried learning japanese like I should xP
but I feel there was a reason why Udon was the company chose to translate the more recent titles. Though I wouldn't doubt that even they still make changes to those titles so it's considered publishable for the states. :/ eventually I want to get the whole collection of FMA from japan. *bet there was a lot that was missed/mistranslated*

There are a lot of American companies that won't translate Author's Notes and little gag-manga that is sometimes added for extras. Like Mineko Ohkami's "Dragon Knights"...not only was this horribly translated (they wouldn't keep a consistent spelling for characters' names), but they left out pages and pages of author's notes, background notes and gag manga extras. Once again, another series I'm glad to have the Japanese for, even if I can't read it perfectly!
I tend to pick up a lot of manga first with Japanese volumes...I was reading "Bleach" and "One Piece" and "Yu-Gi-Oh!" years before VIZ picked up the rights to translate them.
