Yeah, I understand. Last year was my first con and I didnt have the nerve to talk to many people either. Being alone that first ball didnt help much either. Next your you will be an old hand and it will feel much more comfortable.
As a matter of fact Bill and I were at the masquerade ball with two friends in our tuxedos.(but not in fursuit)
