It might be hard to tell what the background is given the featureless look; it’s supposed to be my lecture theatre (desks and chairs). I also need to get a better technique in shading.
Sometimes lectures can be too hard or too disinteresting, leading to distractions such as doodling, iPhones and, for this instance, napping. I don’t actually fall asleep normally, although a lot of my friends do, this is more just what I feel like doing sometimes.
The other parts of the furs seen are made up by me and don't represent anyone/fur

Well if I may say, a useful idea to use when shading is to think about where the light source is coming from in the room. Then, pretty much just follow the path of light until it hits something that blocks it, and create a dark shade that fades out beneath it. (For example, the desk you're resting on. You did a pretty good job on it, but it looks too smooth and over-blended. Seems as if there's no real edge, unless that's what you wanted.) That's what I usually do, but then again, I'm just learning like you. Hope my advice was helpful. I'll throw a +watch your way considering not only that you have an outstanding OC, but you're an aspiring artist, and a friendly one too.
Yeh, I can sometimes get the highlights but then completely forget about the fact they would cast a shadow (should probably think about that actually, thanks for pointing that out). And sometimes there is a bit of reluctance to actually think about what will happen, and I just go off my head what I think looks ok. I guess for some reason I want to do it independently which is a bit silly given I have a lot to learn (this goes for anatomy to, I spend for ever trying to do it from my head and if I just look up a pic it makes it a whole lot easier).
And thanks again, I don't post my own art too much (at least it's still a hobby in the background, got to feel in the mood for it which takes a while) and so far it's really just been my OC so not very diverse, but it's really nice to know that someone is there.

Not diverse? Have you taken a look at my fursona? I'm nothing more than a simple-pattered monochromatic fox. You're a bright-blue warm-hexagon-covered folf with yellow hair! That is certainly diverse. If anything, that makes you exceptional for being different. ^__^
And no problem, I love watching people who make requests, or hardly submit. It's more about the watchers themselves than what they give in my opinion. I only watch those who either deserve it, or who are just genuinely good at making pieces for me to stare at. (Don't take that out of context.) You just so happen to fit into that category of people that I prefer to watch. Not only do you respond, but you take your time along with it. (Not to mention you sound like quite the intelligent individual with your words.) So thank you as well.

Heh, I meant more in terms of the fact that I only really post pictures of that blue folf, which could get a bit monotonous.
But yes, I do follow some people less because of their art and more because what it is about/ what they say with it is interesting. And I guess the whole point of me making/ commissioning art and posting it is to give a way to interact with people, so look forward to to more of that!

Oh, I know what you meant, do not worry. I watch plenty of people who only make commissions of their character. They're very awesome people, much like yourself.
And it's cool to know I'm not the only one who does that. I always thought I was unusual for watching people not for the purpose soulfully for their art. But yes, it is also a good way to earn commissions and interacting with the community! I'm making a good sum of friends off of FA as of recently with my new watching method. There's a lot of great people out there that I was just letting pass by. You'd be surprised how many people just want their watchers to be more than just those who watch.
