I believe that picture was originally run in the fanzine Huzzah, or possibly Rowrbrazzle, which did have no-porn rules.

Ah, yes, the old philosophical debate of 'Science can admit we have the power to create artificial worlds, but cannot admit that our own world may be artificial.' I can see this as a variation of the old chestnut. With the classic twist that the created world can find evidence to prove that it is artificial. (evidence completely lacking in our world, either because there is no other world that created this one, there is no way for information from the other world to reach us, or we are simply programmed not to notice any such evidence.)

I look forward to seeing how this drama plays out.

This comic is really going places and I love the mix of philosophy and conjecture with smut.

It's kind of like how Ghost in the Shell started out as a Hentai manga and 4 pages in turned into more than just a slippery lesbian sex scene on a boat but a story of politics and the question of "what makes us human" etc...
