we got the skin out of the cage for my nine foot columbian red tail boa. aka peanut. we measured his skin (thats the most accurate way i've ever found to measure a snake, since they will never go straight) at nine foot four inches, and keep in mind, they only shed because they get too big for the old skin, so he's about a halfinch bigger than that now
