Here's a flash game I've been working on for a few weeks. An arcade game with a rhythmic twist. Hop across lilypads to get Toadsy from one end of the pond to the other while avoiding the crocodile. Keep a consistent tempo and learn each level’s unique rhythm to achieve faster times! But, move too quickly or ignore the correct timing, and you’re croc-food.
This game has 36 levels. It gets super duper hard, but there's a few little extras for people who are up to the challenge. Good luck!
This game is also at http://www.toadsy.cx/, which I registered because i thought the domain name was hilarious. Yes, I paid about $100 for a butt joke. You can also play Toadsy at Kongregate, and compete for high scores against other players.

no, getting eaten doesn't count as a win! but i can understand how it looks that way
out of the gate, you can play levels 1-9. if you die on level 2, you can either replay level 2, continue to level 3, or go to the stage select and pick level 9. to unlock levels 10 and up, you have to beat some of the earlier levels. dying won't do it!

there's a few secret codes which pop up on the main screen pseudo-randomly. you should already have seen the "CLEAR" code for clearing your data, and if you get all gold medals, then you'll start seeing more codes.
if you want to hurry them, you can go into stage select, then back to the main screen over and over until they appear. it shouldn't take more than about 30 tries. it's not extra levels, it's just something very annoying...

yeah, the different lilypads correspond to eighth notes, quarter notes, and half notes if you're musically inclined! you rarely have to pay attention to the hands once you get a feel for the game. but, looking at the hands still helps for the slower levels where it's hard to keep good time
all the levels are hard to get platinum!!! on kongregate there's still only two players with any platinum medals at all...

After tweaking on stage one for that platinum medal and going threw the rest two things has dawned upon me.
I hate that slow down lily pad for it throws of my groove (throws someone off a cliff) and this game should be in Rhythm heaven.
For something so simple it is very addicting.

hey congratulations on your first platinum medal! it's all easier from here :)
the slow lilypad is tricky for me too. and it's so punishing when you try to jump off too early -- you have to wait so long!! it's one of the few pads where i'll still actively watch the toad's hands to see when to jump.
i love rhythm heaven! :D i got all gold medals on the DS game, i would love to play rhythm heaven 2 on the wii some day!

thank you so much for dedicating so much time to this game!! i worked really hard on it. i designed it so that it would be very challenging, while still being a little lenient with the timing so that you could realistically get platinum on every stage. i'm so glad somebody got all platinum, i certainly wasn't expecting it!!
good luck with elsewhere! since the last few stages are quite long, you have more leniency for errors, but it's still quite difficult. i think 662 is the hardest, for awhile my best time on 662 involved 1 death. my new best time is 59.37 and a little tighter. the final levels have some rather unfair sets of fast pads, since you've played them already i guess you understand what i mean!!
let me know how you fare with the bonus levels, i'm really curious!
