So recently I've gotten the urge to draw larger than life characters in situations of a fantasy element.
This is 1 of 3 LARGER THAN LIFE, NURSERY FABLES: "The Giant's Baby"
<<< PREV | FIRST | NEXT >>>
It's actually came from a dream I had or rather an idea of a fantasy story about a Father Giant and Knight woman in an awkward situation.
The story goes, that a giant begins wreaking havoc on nearby villages prompting a brave night to slay the beast, but when she gets there she finds it's a lot worse that what she thought. The giant is not evil, just delusional. Having spent the better part of 5 days straight looking for it's long Baby Girl Giant, you'd be just as crazy I guess. Anyway, when the knight confronts it he mistakes the warrior woman as his baby being roughly the same height and appearance, and begins treating her as thus.
He strips her of her armor, ties a cloth diaper around her waist, along with mittens so that she will stop fighting him and a cloth pacifier so she will stop pleading that she is "not his baby." Ordinary, it would be no problem for a Knight like her to stop a giant, but it's also against her code of chivalry, seeing as how she only kills things that are evil not technically just sad and desperate.
And that's just the first part of the story, maybe I'll come back to it again.
