A visit at her job from Kate was rarely something Lucy expected to be normal. She welcomed the snake into her office with a hug, and then put her hands on her hips. "Why are you here?"
"Can't a girl just visit her hard working wolfess at work?" Kate smiled.
Lucy raised an eyebrow and stared at the diamondback rattlesnake with clear disbelief. "What do you want? I've only got an hour lunch."
"Oh, fine." She gave Lucy a kiss, and smiled. "Ever wonder what it was like to be a snake?"
"I... No, not really." She raised her ears in confusion.
Kate pulled her close. "Well, you're about to find out." She giggled as her hands became furry paws.
Smooth scales appeared on Lucy's leg and her left hand, and she held it up to inspect it. "What's going on?"
