Anticipation -Wolf TF- (2008)
He should have left earlier as planned, realizing he was running late to rendezvous with his pack at the park when the heat overwhelmed him moments ago; the surge of primal energy flooding his veins and senses. The tips of his ears were already forming into wolfish points; his blackened canine claws tore away his feeble human nails once he looked out the window of his bedroom and was astounded at how quickly the evening had faded into the twilight of the coming night; the full moon climbing the starry sky.
His body trembled in both fear and excitement as he scrambled to grab his backpack full of his backup clothes and extra previsions in case hunting turn out lackluster or his packmates turn greedy and feed for themselves, barely keeping a hold of his keys as they throbbed and swelled, watching in familiar marvel at how the flesh of his palms and fingertips began to thicken and darken into his paw pads.
By the time he had made it downstairs to the front door his focus had waned, his animal urges and instincts taking over as all he could think about was giving into the wolf, wanting to feel his body remold to its true form; craving his fur and fangs and his tail. Some inkling of resistance lingered as he staggered into the living room, opening the curtains to see if there was still time to flee to the woods only to be greeted by the moon's presence bathing in its silver light, feeding the wolf inside as its anticipation skyrocketed.
Realizing he was too late, unable to fight what his instincts desired anymore, he gradually submitted rashly removing all of his clothes onto the floor, letting the moonlight caress his heated tan skin as he rested on the sofa, poised on all fours. A toothy smile stretched across his face as he felt his fangs growing out from his lips, mouth agape as his lengthening tongue lolled into a drooling heavy pant. He couldn't hold it in anymore; he needed to be set free; to be a wolf again.
The transformation continued on in a quicker pace; embracing his animal side as his body began to reshape into a more canine posture; his changing hands and feet already formed into fore and hind paws, his tail jubilantly wagging as it grew long and flourished with bushy fur like his entire body blanketed by his chocolate and cream coat, and his face sounding sickly pops and cracks pushing forward into his muzzle. Feral yellow eyes beamed ahead before turning to the window, gazing up at the moon feeling exhilarated. His eagerness burned hotter as the world outside trumpeted with the howls of his packmates calling to him.
Before his metamorphosis was completed, he dashed to the front door working his forepaws to the doorknob until it opened. Trotting out onto the frontyard, caring little of what prying eyes or wandering human may catch him in their sights, he looked up to the moon again and howled proudly, feeling what parts of his body still human fade into the reborn form of his true self. The brown furred wolf sprints from his yard, barking happily as he races towards the woodland park, ready to join his pack and live another night.
So...some of my viewers may have already seen this image floating around from my first account or other sites. As I had originally planned years again, I'm continuing my long overdue process of moving all my works onto my not-so-new account so this one can be the one and only. I decided I would start trying to add some short stories to go with my images where I can find time or ideas for it, and hopefully that will get me back into writing my larger projects again.
I have been very poor in keeping up with my projects. For those who have been waiting patiently for updates and new material; I both apologies for the wait and thank you for your patience. New stuff will be coming in the future. I have not yet given up. Real-life...is just a big nagging pain in the tail lately.
I hope you re-like my old artwork, and like the short story as well. Until then, take care!
